CDL-A Hazmat Driver

Overview

About the Role:

We have grown to become the world’s leading group for privately owned swimming, patio & spa stores, with stores in FL, GA, AL, LO, & TX. The corporate headquarters in Clearwater, FL. Our drivers transport products all around these states to our retail stores. There is a $3,000 sign on bonus, hourly pay for holidays/vacation (starting at $25/hr up to $35/hr). Included are pre and post trip bonuses, safe driver bonus, and provided personal cellphone and meal stipend.

Required Skills

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle and check for paperwork and verify security of the load before leaving.
  • Responsible for on time delivery to Pinch A Penny stores.
  • Keep accurate DOT logs.
  • Assist stores in receiving deliveries and taking returns.
  • Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
  • Complete verification of returns.
  • Fueling and basic cleanup od tractor after run.
  • Nighttime deliveries as needed
  • Any other duties, as assigned.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Valid Florida CDL-A with Hazmat Endorsement
  • Verified driving/tractor/trailer experience required
  • DOT medically certified
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds to waist height
  • Ability to push/pull 2500lb pallet w/manual pallet jack
  • Ability to load/unload trailer and stack/unstack freight as needed
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High school graduate/GED
  • Applicant may not have any of the following violations while in a commercial or private vehicle: Alcohol or drug related violations.
  • Any major driving violations, within a three-year period.
  • More than (2) minor driving violations, including accidents, within a three-year period.
