Overview

You will be the key liaison between Sun Wholesale Supply operations and our supplier partners. The job entails monitor inventory levels and work directly with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods. You will be instrumental in achieving cost savings through negotiations and contract implementation, manage supplier relationships and ensure that suppliers are delivering on key performance indicators. This is a critical role that requires a strong sense of urgency, great communications skills, and the desire to make a measurable and immediate impact on the business. Required Skills

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret buy signals, experience with JDEdwards desirable.
  • Issue purchase orders to approved suppliers to obtain materials, at lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and other requirements.
  • Analyze quotations, select suppliers, enter purchase orders, and scheduled deliveries.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms
  • Follow up on orders to expedite delivery and shipment.
  • Verify deliveries match the assigned purchase and report any variances to the supplier.
  • Resolve quality and delivery issues.
  • Develop strong and productive relationships with suppliers.
  • Understand products purchased to explain key benefits and features.
  • Analyze and present data and provide recommendations based on key variables such as safety stock levels and consumption-to-forecast.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2 years or more of supply chain experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, emphasis on excel
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
