Independence Day is also a popular day for grilling out, and the Big Green Egg is the perfect cooking companion to a day by the pool. If you are looking for a fun, holiday-themed recipe, we’ve got just the thing for you. The "Red, White and Bleu Burger" puts a new twist on an old favorite. This simple but delicious recipe will have your friends and family calling for more this July 4th!
What you’ll need:
3 lbs. ground beef
4 oz. bleu cheese
Mix ground beef and bleu cheese in a bowl.
Cover bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Form mixture into patties and season with Ancho Chile and Coffee rub
Heat Big Green Egg Grill to 450°
Cook burgers on indirect heat for 5 minutes on each side
(Optional) Lightly grill buns
Slice tomato and onion, add to burger and serve!
